RESUME OF POSITIONS

My resume is simply the positions I have been entrusted with and truly enjoyed.

HUSBAND

Luckiest break in my life. Married Irene (Renee) Baran on May 30, 1970. Renee has been a great wife, loving mother, wonderful homemaker, and a partner who has provided me with a lot of laughs.  

FATHER

Second luckiest break. Our son, Steve, was born in September, 1981. Together we hunted rattlesnakes in Texas, flew my ultralight airplane all over Florida and played computer games for hours. I truly enjoyed his childhood.

FATHER-IN-LAW

After finishing college Steve, our son, married Sarah Carlson, his girlfriend of 6 years. They met in a church youth group and went off to college together. Sarah graduated Cum Laude with a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Florida. She comes from a great family.

Steve proposed to Sarah on the last night of Campus Crusade for Christ (a para-Christian yourth group at the University of Florida) in front of 300 kids.  Click the play button below to see and hear the actual proposal.

EXPANDED FAMILY - THE CARLSONS

Steve married into the Carlson family. They love our son and we love their daughter. They know how to have a good time and are always helping Steve and Sarah. Steve is a very lucky fellow to have just great, loving in-laws.

BUSINESS MAN

Life has been very interesting. My career of 40 years plus has covered a number of industries.  My primary positions were always sales, marketing or management. Here's the list:



Education:  Bachelors of Business Administration, Kent State University, 1967

Advertising Account Management on Madison Ave, NYC:  1968 to 1977

Real Estate Broker in New Jersey: 1977 to 1981

Stockbroker in Florida: 1981 to 1994

Internet/business Marketing: 1994 to 2001

Mortgage Brokerage Business: 2001 to 2007

Retired: March 2007 


SERVANT

Have been honored with the opportunity to serve the Above and Beyond Community Church located in Boca Raton, Fl. My primary duties have been as deacon, doorway greeter, technological advisor, janitor and photographer of church events.  In 1997 we took a group of church kids to Greece for street ministries.  In this piicture I am on the far left leaning down. Also, in this picture are my wife, Renee, our son, Steve, and his future wife, Sarah. Sunday mornings are our time to get together with our spiritual family. We love Sunday's.

INSTRUCTOR

Ultralight flight instructor from 1993 to 2007. Listed in the Hall of Fame provided by the USUA, United States Ultralights Association.

TUTOR

For a number of years, my wife, a couple other friends and I tutored migrant workers' children at a worker's camp located west of Delray Beach, Fl.  Eventually, the camp was replaced with newer facilities and our tutoring activities came to an end.  We loved these kids. They were the best.

RETIRED

In March, 2007, I gave my suits to the Salvation Army, turned in my office keys and retired.  Since I had experience driving RV's, I applied for a position as an independent contractor driving recreational vehicles for a local RV dealer. During 2007 I delivered 18 RV's across the United States and totally enjoyed the experience. I hope to do more.
